Wyvern Cargo provides high-quality haulage, distribution, and warehousing services to customers in various industrial sectors throughout the UK. Following a series of ransomware attacks that resulted in Wyvern Cargo losing critical business hours and revenue, they were keen to ensure their systems could be restored quickly.

In early 2020, Wyvern Cargo turned to Nexus Fusion as their trusted IT partner for help with regards to a high-end back up and anti-ransomware solution.

After recommendations from account manager Vanessa Lindsay and an onsite visit and demonstration, Wyvern was confident that dual Arcserve appliances and Sophos products would ensure a robust and seamless backup solution. Already a Sophos customer, the company decided it needed a more targeted approach to ransomware. Partnering together, Nexus Fusion, Arcserve and Sophos designed a backup strategy that automates backups to maintain zero data loss. This environment is then replicated to a secondary DR site.

Wyvern Cargo now have peace of mind, faster data recovery and easier day-to-day backup management. The implemented Arcserve and Sophos solution future-proofs Wyvern Cargo by providing cross-platform flexibility as its business strategy evolves.

To fortify its defences, it was decided that Intercept X would be integrated into its security stack. Sophos XG Firewalls provide wireless connectivity across Wyvern Cargo’s three sites and have allowed remote workers to log in from home during the coronavirus pandemic. Their IT team has complete confidence in its ability to restore its systems quickly in the event of a ransomware attack or server outage.
